Todd Jostes joined Lakeside, Arizona’s Wilderness Survival as a rescue tracker in 2014. His activities in this position require him to draw on more than 35 years of advanced rescue training, including experience as an emergency medical technician (EMT) and intermediate emergency medical technician IV. Todd Jostes has also spent a decade as a staff member at the Winter Count school for primitive living skills. He is the host of the Star Worldwide Network’s program Into the Wilderness USA with TJ and of the Patriot radio station show Into the Wilderness Arizona. He balances these varied professional responsibilities with his work as an independent search and rescue tracker with a highly trained English Labrador team.
A fire dept graduate from scottsdale rural metro fire dept in the 90s , Todd Jostes has received advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support training. He is an advanced rescue diver through the National Association of Underwater Instructors. He has received additional certifications in areas of advanced ropes rescue, swift water rescue, and K9 search and rescue handling and training. His survivalist training is beneficial at Wilderness Survival and in Mr. Jostes’ personal life. His many interests include hiking, camping, fly fishing, and rock climbing.
